The X-Factor auditions in Manchester were brought to life by the 17 year old singing sensation Aimee Hargreaves. Aimee's superb rendition of the Jennifer Rush song "The Power of Love" was well received by the judges of the leading ITV singing contest.
As the Judges deliberated over Aimee's superb performance,Louis Walsh caused a stir by saying "I think you've got a great voice but I don't think were going to remember you at the end of the day".X-Factor judge Simon Cowell disagreed with the comments of his fellow judge and assured Aimee "you are one of the few I will remember, you can believe in yourself because you're terrific" Other xfactor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue liked Aimee too with Dannii adding that we've not yet seen the best of Aimee!
Fantastic comments from the judges saw the 17 year old business management student leave the auditions elated at having sailed through to boot camp. Aimee, who has a good background in singing, has already shown off her superb voice at school concerts and talent shows in her home town of Clitheroe in Lancashire.
Aimee, who has recently finished her A levels has always had an ambition to be a singer songwriter has said that she would love to have the chance to perform in front of a big crowd and sing her own songs.
Perhaps the x-factor will now give this young sensation the opportunity to fulfil her dreams. Good luck Aimee, we wish you every success!
